Kitale MOPS group is a ministry of the global MOPS International founded in 1973, at Denver, Colorado by a group of moms who came up together to share their parental journey. It was started at the Calvary Faith Church in 2014, by Janet Kimitios, with the help of their Pastor, as a women ministry of the Church under the help of, Destiny Leahy-Global Ministry - Developer for Africa.
It is the vision of Kitale MOPS group to rally women in the neighborhood to come together and help each other through motherhood, one meeting at a time.
As MOPS grew, it expanded and was established at the Calvary Faith Church-Maridad,i in 2014, by Janet Kimitios with the help of their Pastor. Through Kitale MOPS group, so many groups have been established in the North Rift Valley.

MOPS meets every Sunday afternoon in each members home after their church services, and officially acknowledged as a ministry and a witnessing instrument/vehicle in making better moms, as better moms make a better world, it has grown over Africa with a network covering close to 16 countries within this continent, with select groups having official partners/advocates who work tirelessly to realize this values and getting moms connected worldwide.
Kitale MOPS group is yet to get an advocate or a partner, still praying that one is available in line with MOPS International dream.

1. Weekly meetings with recipe of the word of God.
2. Weekly saving program for Kitale MOPS group table banking projected vision.
3. Dairy program- One heifer was bought for the purposes of engaging milk production as ministry with a
view that one day, it will calf more for the program and eventually get each mom cow for the purposes of​
empowering moms to raise their families for better moms to make a better world.
4. Hand work things such as baskets that act as hot spots, and beautiful bangles made from colorful beads. Some for sale in case markets are there.



Kitale MOPS group in partnership with Global ministry developer for Africa-Destiny Leahy were able to make a borehole and connected it with power by installing submersible water pump and serves over 50 households, two schools and six churches with clean healthy water.
